April 7, 2006

Hearst Ranch Conservation Now formally endorses Bruce Gibson for San Luis Obispo County District 2 Supervisor. He has a wide variety of experience, education and his positive can do attitude are the key reasons for endorsing Mr Gibson.

We have looked at his past and present experience and there is no better person qualified to serve on the Board of Supervisor for San Luis Obispo County, said "Gary Felsman"

Bruce Gibson

Some of his experiences include:

  • Cayucos Advisory Council
  • Cayucos Land Conservancy
  • Board of Trustee, Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County
  • Environmental Awards Selection Committee, SLO Community Foundation
  • Ag Preserve Review Committee, San Luis Obispo County, advisory committee for Williamson Act contract applications
  • Board of Directors, Santa Paula Orange Association, a grower-owned cooperative packing house within the Sunkist Growers system
  • Planning Commissioner, District 2, San Luis Obispo County

Bruce a rancher, businessman and conservationist understands the value agricultural lands, the rights of property owners and how they are all connected to each other.

A year after the close of the Hearst Ranch Conservation Project, which Bruce worked on, we had an opportunity to tour the ranch on foot. We found the ranch in good shape and were quite pleased with what we had accomplished.

We are glad to endorse Bruce Gibson and look forward to working with him when elected to the Board of Supervisors.
