Help Us Conserve
the Hearst Ranch

We thank you for taking the time to help conserve the Hearst Ranch.

At this time there is no additional action needs to be taken as the Ranch itself is now protected forever.

However, California State Parks is in the process of of preparing a management plan for the increased size of William Randoph Hearst Memorial State Beach covers 18 miles of the California Central Coast.

1. Send an E-mail to us, the Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) and the Governor of California and other important officials supporting the Project

We are into the home stretch and your support is necessary to make this funidng happen. We need you help by sending an e-mail or letter of support to the Wildlife Conservation Board, the governor and elected officials prior to the August 12, 2004 hearing. You can do so by sending them an e-mail, or writing them a letter.

6. Make a donation to the American Land Conservancy, Hearst Ranch Project Fund

With the announcement of the agreement between American Land Conservancy and the Hearst Corporation. The American Land Conservancy is now moving into the funding stage of the project. The project will require funds from multiple sources to make this project a success. These sources are:

  • The State of California
  • Possibly Federal Funds
  • Private Foundations and Organizations
  • Individuals like yourself

We are now asking to help with the funding process by making a donation the the American Land Conservancy in any amount that meets your needs.

This serves two purposes:

  • A financial contribution to the project itself
  • It shows that there is public support for the project and people are willing to spend their hard earned dollars to complete the Hearst Ranch Conservation Project.

All donations are tax-deductible and will only go to the
Hearst Ranch Project Fund.
